Live Your Dream
Do you have a passion for aviation? Is it your dream to become a pilot?
In our daily work of supporting pilots all over the world, we hear about peoples' passion for flying as well as their goals and dreams of becoming an aviator. We’re very pleased to be able to support those goals for those who aspire to achieve their pilot’s certificate.
We want to help you "Live Your Dream!"
Our "Live Your Dream" program offers great educational opportunities for new or prospective pilots:
"Live Your Dream" Scholarships
The cost of flight training often dissuades prospective pilots from pursuing their dreams of flying. Sennheiser Aviation wants to help relieve the financial burden of flight training by awarding partial scholarships to those who are willing to share their enthusiasm openly with the broader aviation community.
We are intrigued to learn what sparked your fascination for flying, and why you want to take to the skies and become pilots.
Interested in participating?
You can access the entry form for this program on our partner site www.mytransponder.com. You will be asked to first register on this page. To sign up, you can then either post a written story in the Live Your Dream group (www.myTransponder.com/liveyourdream), or upload a video expressing your passion for aviation in a creative way using your Youtube account. Videos will be posted on the Sennheiser Aviation Youtube channel as well as on our Sennheiser Aviation Facebook page.
All entries will be reviewed by an internal panel. The most exciting and creative entries will be awarded one of eight $1,000 (USD) scholarships for their flight training as well as a 1-year premium membership at our partner service iFlightPlanner.com. Sennheiser will award two of the eight scholarships on a monthly basis until October 2011. Entries will be accepted starting July 1st, 2011, giving you plenty of time to register and create your materials. Three of these scholarships will be awarded exclusively to students at our partner flight school Orange County Flight Center (www.ocflightcenter.com). All OCFC students are encouraged to register.
More ways to learn
In many cases, a big obstacle in becoming a pilot is also related to the uncertainty of what to expect and what it takes to fly, either recreationally or professionally. Live Your Dream addresses this issue by delivering an ongoing lecture program at universities, flight schools, flight clubs and other venues. These lectures will feature presentations by experienced pilots and key people from within the aviation community, focusing on a wide range of aviation and flight training related topics. In each presentation, the speakers will share how they started in aviation and "lived their dream."
Check back here soon for a schedule of upcoming lectures.
